Connection guide

Use PaceBeats with Claude

Review your training plan, understand the rationale behind a workout, and summarize recent training in Claude. You choose which optional fitness, recovery, and write features to allow.

Before you connect

You need a PaceBeats account. A training plan and recent sessions make the tools useful. Some features depend on your subscription and the data available in your account. General product help is available without signing in; personal training information requires your consent.

Add a custom connector

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Enter PaceBeats as the name and the server address below.
  3. Select OAuth sign-in. If automatic registration fails, select Use your own OAuth client and enter the public client ID below. Leave the client secret empty.
  4. When PaceBeats displays its consent screen, review the access requested for Claude. Enable only the optional permissions you want.

The client ID identifies this integration. It is not a password and grants no access until you authorize your account.

Choose what to share

Training plan and history
Read your planned workouts, stored coaching rationale, recent training, and race information.
Fitness and zones (optional)
Read fitness and freshness summaries, training zones, and numerical workout targets.
Recovery (optional)
Read recovery and readiness summaries based on available wellness signals.
Workout logging (optional)
Preview and confirm workout feedback or strength-set logs.
Plan proposals (optional)
Suggest a plan change or record a training disruption. Plan changes require confirmation in PaceBeats.

The connection can refresh the access you granted until you revoke it. Reconnect to change the permissions you allow. Some sensitive features require an adult account with a date of birth on file.

Try these questions

  • What is my training session today, and why is it in my plan?
  • How is my training week going, and what is coming up before my next race?
  • Show me a preview for logging today's session as completed, without saving it yet.

Workout and strength-set logs first return a preview. A separate confirmation saves them. Proposed training-plan changes must be confirmed inside PaceBeats. Write availability also depends on your account eligibility and service configuration.

Troubleshooting and disconnecting

If a tool reports missing permissions, reconnect and review the relevant optional permission. If it reports no data, check that the plan, session, or confirmed race result exists in PaceBeats. Missing optional data does not necessarily mean the connection is broken.

If registration or sign-in fails, keep the displayed error reference and contact hello@pacebeats.com. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or private training records in your initial message.

Manage or revoke access in PaceBeats connection settings. See our privacy policy for details about data collection, use, and retention.
