PaceBeats + Wahoo
Your plan.
Ready to ride.
From the week you planned to the ride you actually did. Send your cycling intervals to Wahoo, then bring the recording back into the same training calendar.
Optional connection. Works alongside Garmin or on its own.
Your structured ride
Warm-up · efforts · recoveries · cool-down
Ride indoors or out.
Follow the intervals on your Wahoo. Finish and sync your recording.
The ride returns to your PaceBeats calendar
The workout you planned
Time and distance intervals, repeats, recovery steps, and power or cycling heart-rate targets. Authored power aims drive the working target; the full range stays in the instructions.
One training history
Recorded Wahoo activities come back with the metrics the recording contains, including power, heart rate and interval detail. PaceBeats calculates load and matches the ride to your plan.
You choose the delivery
Send a single ride from its workout card or turn on automatic delivery for the next seven days. Moving, editing or deleting a plan updates its Wahoo copy during sync.
Getting connected
A few minutes now.
Less admin before every ride.
You sign in directly with Wahoo. PaceBeats never sees your Wahoo password. Your first sync imports the last 90 days of available recordings.
- 1
Connect your account
Open Settings → Connections, choose Connect Wahoo, and allow the requested workout permissions.
- 2
Choose which rides to send
Enable automatic bike delivery, or open a planned cycling workout and choose Wahoo. Your current PaceBeats FTP or cycling heart-rate threshold sets the targets.
- 3
Sync your bike computer
Use the same Wahoo account on your device. Connect the computer to Wi-Fi and sync Planned Workouts. Select the session and ride.
- 4
Bring the recording home
Save the completed ride and let your device sync to Wahoo. PaceBeats imports the available recording and updates its analysis and training load.
Before your first ride
Which Wahoo devices can I use?
Structured cycling delivery is designed for Wahoo ELEMNT bike computers, including BOLT and ROAM, using their planned-workout sync. Use the Wahoo or ELEMNT companion app required by your device. Keep the app and device firmware current. Swim, run, strength and route delivery are not included in this connection.
How far ahead can I send workouts?
Today and the next six days. With automatic delivery enabled, later rides are sent when they enter that window. Changes and moves are checked regularly; sync your bike computer again after an update.
Can I keep Garmin connected?
Yes. Wahoo and Garmin have independent connections and workout-delivery settings. Garmin can continue to provide sleep, HRV and other recovery signals. Confident matches between the same ride recorded on both devices count once; the richer recording supplies the activity analysis. Uncertain matches stay separate so distinct rides are not silently combined.
Will a Zwift ride recorded with my KICKR appear?
A Wahoo trainer used in another app does not make that app's activity a Wahoo recording. This integration imports recordings Wahoo makes available through its API. For a Zwift activity, use your existing Garmin connection or upload a supported activity file.
What if a workout does not appear on my computer?
Check its card in PaceBeats for delivery status and confirm it is within the seven-day window. Check that your computer uses the same Wahoo account, connect it to Wi-Fi, then sync Planned Workouts. A successful delivery means Wahoo has the workout; the device still needs to download it. If access has expired, reconnect in Settings → Connections.
What happens when I disconnect?
PaceBeats removes Wahoo-imported activities and their analysis, keeps independently recorded Garmin activities, and stops new imports and deliveries. It also requests removal of its upcoming Wahoo workouts and revokes its access. Your completed rides remain in Wahoo. Remote cleanup retries if Wahoo is temporarily unavailable.
Wahoo provides activity recordings, not Garmin-style sleep or HRV recovery data. An unavailable sensor does not become a zero reading, and unsupported workout instructions are shown before delivery.
For device-specific steps, see Wahoo’s Planned Workouts guide. Read how we handle connection data in our privacy policy.
